Magnification

Magnification is telescope focal length divided by eyepiece focal length.

Both lengths must use millimeters. The eyepiece focal length must be shorter than the telescope focal length or the result is rejected.

Visual mode uses eyepiece focal length; imaging mode uses pixel scale—neither lists gear for you.

Telescope dealers bundle OTA, mount, and eyepiece sets once you confirm target field width and tracking needs. Astrophotography shops sell cooled cameras with matching flattener/reducer kits. Planetarium educators run beginner courses that include safe solar filters—magnification alone does not pick accessories.
